Searching for stocks

Funds

When searching for funds it is possible to search by fund management company, fund sector or by investment name. You can use the drop down lists to find what you are looking for or alternatively search alphabetically.

  • Search by Company: Select the fund management company from the drop down list and press ‘Go’ for a list of the companies funds.
  • Search by Sector: Select the fund sector from the drop down menu and press ‘Go’ to see a list of funds in that sector.
  • Search by investment name: Search by keywords from a funds name, this could be the name of the fund management company or part of the name. To search enter the word and press ‘Go’.
  • Search alphabetically: You can also search alphabetically by company, by fund or by sector.

Shares

When searching for shares it is possible to search by EPIC or by name. You can type what you are looking for into the boxes or alternatively search by name alphabetically.

  • Search by EPIC: Enter the 3 or 4 character EPIC code. For example, Vodafone is VOD; Lloyds is LLOY and Hargreaves Lansdown is HL..
  • Search by Name: Enter a minimum of the first three characters of the company or equity name.
  • Search Alphabetically: Search for a share holding by the first character of its name.

Search results

All stocks matching your search criteria are displayed.

To see prices and charts, click the symbol of the graph.

To place a deal, click the green arrow. If a stock is not tradeable online, a cross will be displayed instead of the arrow symbol.

To add the stock to your Virtual Portfolio, click the symbol of the document folder.

To add the stock to your list of other investments, click on the red and white cross symbol.
