Philip Ehrmann | Jupiter China
Tue 02 February | Duration: 7:39
Philip Ehrmann, manager of the Jupiter China Fund, explains why he is optimistic, believing that the fund could potentially grow significantly this year; perhaps by 25%. He considers this will be propelled by underlying earnings growth from his portfolio of mostly small and medium-sized companies. The portfolio focuses on long-term themes such as urbanisation, infrastructure development and changes in agriculture.
He also explains that he believes pressure to be building on the Chinese to allow their currency to appreciate, which could further benefit UK investors.
Past performance is not a guide to the future. Please note that investments can fall in value as well as rise, and therefore you could get back less than you invested. Any investment in an emerging market should be seen as higher risk.
