Daniel received his Bachelor of Business Science degree with Honours in Economics from the University of Cape Town in 1995. He joined Investec Asset Management in October 1997 as a portfolio administrator. In 1999 he moved to the research department and began working as an investment analyst focusing on resources. Within resources, Daniel is responsible for the gold and platinum sub-sectors. Since May 2002, he has been managing the Gold Fund. He is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst.
