About the Fund Manager
Julian Thompson
Located in: London
Julian Thompson joined Threadneedle in October 2003 as Head of Global Emerging Markets. He manages several emerging markets funds, including the Threadneedle Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund and the RiverSource Emerging Markets Fund. Julian previously worked for Stewart Ivory and Co. in Edinburgh where he progressed to Head of Emerging Markets (ex Asia) and for American Express Asset Management as Head of Global Emerging Markets. He has a BA in Classics from Cambridge University and a PhD in Classical Literature. Julian is also an associate member of the AIMR.
