In April 2003, following the acquisition of Rothschild Asset Management (RAM) and the subsequent reorganisaiton of the investment Management team, David was appointed Head of Global Equity Funds, heading up a team with responsibility for Global Retail and Institutional funds with assets approaching £900 million. His remit also extends to investment trusts and the Insight range of ethical funds. He joined Insight in 2001 with the acquisition of the operating assets of the Equitable Life Assurance Society (ELAS). He was initially Head of Global Portfolios responsible for the Global Funds team, investment trusts and the Passive, Quant and Derivatives unit. David had worked at ELAS since 1985 in a number of roles including managing fixed interest and equity assets across a variety of unitised and with profit portfolios. In 1999 he was appointed Assistant General Manager for the Investment Department with responsibility for unit-linked funds. He has a first class degree in Economics and Econometrics from Nottingham University and an MBA from City University. He is also an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP).
