HL Research - Our view on this Fund

Mark Dampier There is general concern that the credit crisis, which has most noticeably affected larger companies, will cause problems in the smaller financial companies according to Jenny Jones. However, given the rising debt burdens and a less secure employment environment, the fund has stayed away from the consumer sectors. Outperformance has been driven by good stock picking in the technology and healthcare sectors.

Jenny B Jones was the Head of the team that managed the Morgan Stanley Special Value Fund since 1996 delivering top quartile performance over three and five years. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 1996, Jenny worked at a number of leading financial companies, including; Oppenheimer Capital, Mutual of America Life Insurance Company, American Express and Drexel Burnham Lambert. She is a graduate of Yale, has an MBA in finance from New York University and over 20 years experience in fund management.
