After graduating from Aberdeen University, Lindsay qualified as a Chartered Accountant. From 1985, he spent four years with Johnston Press involved in acquisition studies, monitoiring of subsidiaries' performance and assisting in the preparation of the company for flotation. He subsequently moved to 3i plc, where he identified, negotiated and structured private equity investments. In 1991 he moved to Ivory & Sime plc, latterly becoming a Director of Private Equity. Lindsay is the Group Technology and Biotech specialist and is a founding member of Artemis.
