Robert Haber
Located in: Boston
Bob Haber is chief investment officer, Canada, and head of equities for Fidelity Global Advisors, a Fidelity investment company. Bob manages the Fidelity Focused Stock Fund, Fidelity Canadian Disciplined Equity Fund, Fidelity Canadian Balanced Fund, and serves as group leader for Canada as well as the Fidelity Global Advisors Institutional Equity Group.
Bob joined Fidelity in 1985 as a research analyst following the technology and energy industries. In 1986, he became an assistant for Fidelity Puritan Fund* and Fidelity Equity-Income Fund* and, soon after, was named portfolio manager for Fidelity Convertible Securities Fund*. Since then, Bob managed several Fidelity funds, including Fidelity Advisor Income & Growth Fund* from 1987 to 1996, Fidelity Balanced Fund* from 1988 to 1996, Fidelity Global Balanced Fund* from 1993 to 1996, and Fidelity Advisor Annuity Income & Growth Fund* from January 1995 to March 1996. He served as director of U.S. equity research from February 1996 through October 1997. Bob was appointed manager of several equity portfolios available exclusively to Canadian investors in July 1998. He was appointed manager of Fidelity Focused Stock Fund in February 2004.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Bob was a management consultant with McKinsey and Co.
