About the Fund Manager
Peter Allwright
Located in: London
Peter Allwright started his career in 1993 with Cooper Neff Associates. Between 1994 and 2000 he held a number of different roles at Nomura, Nikko and Svenska Handelsbanken where he gained extensive experience as a market-maker and proprietary trader in London, Tokyo and Stockholm. In 2001, he moved to Royal London Asset Management where he was responsible for the management of global bond portfolios before becoming a senior portfolio manager at Gartmore in 2004. He joined Threadneedle in 2005 as a Global Bond Fund Manager and manages the Threadneedle European Bond Fund, the Threadneedle Sterling Bond Fund and the Threadneedle Global Bond Fund. He is also responsible for absolute return and high alpha strategies and is co-fund manager for the Threadneedle Absolute Return Bond Fund and the Threadneedle Target Return Fund. Peter holds a BA (Hons) degree in Engineering and Management Studies from Magdalene College, Cambridge and is a CFA Charterholder and an associate member of UKSIP.
