HL Research - Our view on this Fund

Mark Dampier 2009's market recovery was led by economically sensitive companies. As these tend to have a low yield, equity income funds were somewhat left behind. However, 2010 could see companies with solid earnings return to favour; the outlook for income funds is therefore brighter in our view. This fund is currently positioned towards the media and insurance sectors which combine income with growth potential, and also the telecoms sector which currently yields nearly 7%.
