About the Fund Manager
Matthew Dobbs
Located in: London
Matthew has run Asian specialist portfolios since 1985, has run the Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc since launch in 1995 and the Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited since launch in 2005. Matthew's career commenced on joining Schroders in 1981 as a UK investment analyst. He was seconded in 1983 to the New York office and in 1985 became Head of the Investment Division in Singapore. He returned to London in 1987, assuming responsibility for specialist Far Eastern equity portfolios. Between 1996 and 1999 he was once again based in Singapore as Regional Managing Director of Schroder Investment Management in South East Asia, responsible for investment management businesses in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
