About the Fund Manager
Stephen Docherty
Located in: Glasgow
Stephen Docherty is Head of Global Equities at Aberdeen and manages a team of three senior Global equity investment managers who are responsible for the Aberdeen Group's overall strategy towards Global equity investment, including Global ethical portfolios. Stephen joined Aberdeen in 1994 where he successfully established performance measurement procedures and in 1998 moved to Fort Lauderdale to take up a fund management role focussing predominantly on Latin American investments. In 2000, Stephen returned to the UK to work on the Global equities desk. Previously, Stephen worked in the Department of Actuarial Services within the Life Division of Abbey National Plc.
Stephen graduated from Aberdeen University with a BSc (Honours) in Mathematics and Statistics.
