David began his career in 1989 with Eagle Star Investment Managers . After a period as an analyst looking at the sterling bond market, he became a fund manager responsible for the multi-currency portfolios of Eagle Star and then after 1994 for Threadneedle. David is a member of the fixed interest asset allocation committee and is Joint Head of Investment Grade Credit.
David graduated in 1988 with an honours degree in Economics from the University of St Andrews. He is an associate member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (UKSIP).
Eagle Star Investment Managers became part of Threadneedle in May 1994.
