HL Research - Our view on this Fund

Mark Dampier AXA Framlington has announced that their Managed Growth fund will undergo a change of name. From 18 February 2008 it will be known as the AXA Framlington Global Opportunities Fund.

The objectives of the fund remain the same; AXA Framlington simply feels the new name is a better description of the fund. The only change to the manager’s investment powers is that he can now invest up to 10% of the fund in other funds.

The fund management was taken over by Mark Tinker in 2007, whose style has led to a slight reduction in the number of holdings. We do not believe that existing investors have any cause for concern over these relatively minor changes to the fund.
